Form By Design craft unique Sydney building designs, specialising in new homes, renovations, mutli-dwellings, landscaping and interiors. Form By Design are a family-owned business that is lucky to have a passionate team that specialises in mid to upper-market residential homes. Each design is unique and starts from a blank piece of paper until something special is created making every experience exclusive and enjoyable.

Throughout our service, we listen carefully to your goals and develop the ideas into reality through a 3D visualisation. The form of the building must be aesthetically pleasing however it must also be practical for the builder to put together. With our great knowledge of Australian building standards and close relationships with many builders, we can provide this for all our clients.

Communication is a strong aspect of our service. Our mission is to have all parties involved understand every aspect – taking you from the initial idea and navigating through to the approval process so your project can start with the builder on time and without any surprises.

We do work alongside a group of great builders, landscapers, interior designers, and a list of relevant consultants to help you through the entire design and build process and can refer you to some great teams with exceptional service and knowledge within their fields.

Alec Hogan

Director & Head Designer

Alec is the visionary leader behind Form By Design bringing his passion for design and building with over 10 years of design experience. Through this passion and knowledge Alec strives to achieve the best outcome for both the client and the builder with the ability to communicate and explain the entire process every step of the way.

What brought Alec to design was his passion for building and a love for well-proportioned aesthetically pleasing built forms. Through this desire he drives our mission forward and brings this company a focus of delivering beautiful and functional homes for families to enjoy for years to come. Outside of this business he loves you will find Alec driving on the golf green or shredding in the snow.

ChantaL Hogan

Project Coordinator

Chantal has a keen eye for detail and a passion for process optimisation, making her one of the driving forces behind our operations. Her role is to ensure projects run seamlessly and efficiently, turning our strategic vision into reality. With over 10 years of experience in leading teams and companies from an operations and administration perspective, Chantal excels in streamlining processes and enhancing organizational efficiency.

In her spare time, Chantal loves to travel off the beaten track to remote destinations, disconnecting from our busy modern-day lives. While most might assume she’d be drinking cocktails by the beach, you are more likely to find her enjoying a glass of wine in the snow.

Andy Luu

Junior Designer

To help drive the aesthetic and creative direction of Form By Design is Andy, who was our first employee and junior designer. Andy has an undergraduate degree in Architecture and has the same passion and enthusiasm that Form By Design stands for and strives for. Andy has excellent coordination skills and 3D Visualisation skills that are a great asset to our company.

What Andy enjoys is staying active through different activities like soccer, bouldering, gym and snowboarding. Andy also loves travelling, exploring different cultures especially their snowy mountains and holds a passion for food – cooking and trying new foods.

Mills Sun

Designer & ArchiCAD Drafter

Ensuring From By Design delivers a visually captivating experience as well as a compelling design is Mills, our ArchiCAD expert. Mills has completed a Bachelor of Architecture (Honours) and a Diploma of Design and Architecture, with this experience and great knowledge he is able to bring to life our clients design using 3D visualisation. Mills also have great skills in documentation which promotes easy to read plans and minimises construction errors.

When Mills isn’t working, he loves good food, music, and travelling. Even though he is on the computer all day at work, you will usually catch him chilling behind the screen, either watching a movie or gaming.
